For the assemble of the species list, a detailed search in SCOPUS and WEB OF SCIENCE literature databases as well as cross check within the publications has been followed. The species list per paper, have been indexed in an excel spreadsheet.
Mediterranean basin
Analysis of published papers in scientific journals and free available PhD thesis, dating back to 1969, the common equipment used was Scraping / Underwater sucker.
Each paper's species list has been check for the update systematics by using the WORMS match taxon tool.
