Description

This is a historical dataset by Edward Forbes regarding species of the family Ophiuridae from the Eastern Mediterranean Sea within the years 1841 and 1843. Species occurrence data is provided while temporal and spatial data is not provided for every record.

Based on extracts of the original publication "I dredged it in various depths" and "This pretty little Starfish was dredged…" it is concluded that the sampling instrument of the cruise was a dredge.
